WeirWood is the result: a consultancy built on experience, ambition, and a shared belief that business can be both impactful and personal. Together, we bring a blend of supply chain expertise and strategic marketing to help contractors and construction businesses thrive, with less stress, more clarity, and a whole lot more heart.

Founded on over 25 years of hands‑on experience within the building materials supply sector. Ashley has built a long and successful career in supply chain, starting on the trade counter of a local family‑run builders’ merchant. From there, he worked his way up to leading and transforming multiple branches across both independent and national merchant groups.

Ashley later joined an independent merchant buying group, where he helped shape buying structures and provided collective purchasing power to more than 300 independent builders’ merchants across the UK and Ireland. It was during this time that a question began to form:

“If I can help merchants buy better, why can’t I do the same for contractors?”

With a strong network, deep industry knowledge, and a clear understanding of the pressures contractors face, Ashley saw an opportunity to remove stress from business owners’ plates. By ensuring they buy right, receive materials on time and in good condition, and avoid unnecessary delays or overspending, he knew he could give contractors back the time and headspace to focus on running their companies.

Alongside Ashley’s operational and supply‑chain expertise, WeirWood is strengthened by Chloe, who brings over 15 years of marketing experience, from supporting small start‑ups to leading campaigns for tier‑one construction companies. Together, they combine industry insight with strategic creativity to deliver a consultancy that truly understands both sides of the construction world.
